Nonetheless, here is my list of things I wish I had known since I was 1st year.
1. EVERYTHING YOU DO NOW HAS A BIG EFFECT LATER A.K.A. STUDY, STUDY, AND WORK HARD
2. KNOWING HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT FRIENDS IS A MUST.
After some time, I tried to find people I can relate to but turned out that they were only there for the fun times but not in the “rough rides.” I regret these decisions. I regret not finding the balance and look for the people I actually clicked with, who have the same value system, and who can be completely honest with me when I’m being an ass but who can lift me up and see my good qualities so they can truly motivate and influence me to be the “best” me.
It wasn’t until third year where I finally learned my mistakes and became successful as I went on looking for the right friends for me. I’m glad to say I have found them with my church group family and with some schoolmates. So, guys choose right when it comes to the people you hang out with because in the end you may not be able to choose your family but you can choose your friends who can be a new family for you.
3. HAVING GUY FRIENDS IS OKAY
4. FAILURE IS PART OF LIFE
5. PREPARE FOR ANYTHING
And as I said in the beginning, my journey and yours is not over. I hope that in one way or another, my list have proven useful to your journey. Carpe Diem!
