The Walking Dead
If you thought that season one was a bit gory or bland for your liking, wait ‘til you get a load of season 5! You are what you eat.
Under The Dome
Based and adapted from Stephen King’s book on the same title, the story is about a town getting surrounded by a dome out of nowhere. The series, now on its second season, goes from ‘oh, this town is pretty chill’ to ‘what the fuck is wrong with you people’-LOOKING AT YOU JUNIOR. The town goes downhill pretty quickly with several people trying to figure out a way to get rid of the dome and how to survive under the dome (cue credits) with their resources diminishing.
It may not seem like a post-apocalyptic show but the fact that the town is without Wi-Fi and any sort of signal, it sure as hell should be. All jokes aside, the town does go through phases that you would see in a post-apocalyptic world.
Falling Skies is a show that shows us what the aftermath of an invasion by E.Ts (which are not as cute as the E.T. that we all know and love). The aftermath includes the typical cutting of the world’s supply of power-which means lack of technology usage--the human population being wiped out to a mere 10% and militaries being destroyed. The aliens also want to round up children who are between the ages of 8 and 18 and attach some sort of device into their spines so they can control the child. The story begins a few months after the initial invasion and surrounds a group that are planning to fight against these aliens. Good luck to them.
If you were into ‘The Fifth Wave’ then I suggest watching this show because, y’know, aliens and badasses.
That’s literally the worst way to go about doing that but watch it if you’re into good looking people getting themselves into trouble of their own.
