Here are seven alter egos of characters from TV Shows that will make you face-palm when you realize that said character is actually an Alter Ego.
- 1. Angel/Angelus From Buffy the Vampire Slayer
As a human, he was named Liam who was a linen and silk merchant (and totally far off from him being Angelus, let me tell you). One evening, he got incredibly drunk, was kicked out of a bar and then followed a woman into the alleyway. The woman ends up being Darla and sires him. Liam quickly became one of the strongest and relentless vampires around, calling himself Angelus, who terrorised Europe until he murdered a gypsy. He was then cursed by having his soul put back and he was to spend an eternity with it. From here, he no longer murdered anyone and called himself Angel until he banged Buffy. That’s another story altogether.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FOLLOW GIRLS AROUND, OKAY? Albeit, he ends up banging Buffy but everything else before that was pretty bad.
2. Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Spike was called William as a human and liked to write poetry. When William was rejected by an aristocrat, he wandered around London, bumping into Angel, Darla and another vampire called Drusilla. Drusilla followed him into an alley (SERIOUSLY WHAT IS WITH ALLEYS?), had a brief talk with him and then sired him. For many years, William was dubbed William the Bloody while he also terrorized Europe until he called himself Spike.
Lesson here: This is what you get for following girls around. SERIOUSLY, HE GOES THROUGH SO MUCH SHIT TO ALSO GET TO BANG BUFFY THAT IT HURTS.
3. Animated Lizzie from Lizzie McGuire
Animated Lizzie was very outspoken and would always say the things that Lizzie McGuire would never say, especially when it came to Kate Sanders. Animated Lizzie was usually animated with wild expressions; those that we usually think of doing but can never really do them because we’re human.
Basically, Animated Lizzie is us when we want to say something sassy back.
4. Perry the Platypus as Agent P from Phineas and Ferb
As Agent P, Perry takes some of the secret tunnels around the Flynn-Fletcher household to get to an underground hideout where he does work for the ‘Organisation Without a Cool Acronym’ or ‘The OWCA’. On a daily basis, Agent P will be sent out to stop Doofenshmirtz’s plans to take over the Tri-State area. Once Agent P stops Doofenshmirtz, he returns back to the Flynn-Fletcher household to resume his role as Perry the Platypus.
Perry the Platypus is basically the pet you want but never will have.
5. Walter White as Heisenberg from Breaking Bad
To protect his identity, Walter White creates an Alter Ego called Heisenberg. Through this Alter Ego, Walter White is able to keep his family out of his business (for a bit) as well as prevent drug dealers from finding out who he actually is. As Heisenberg, he murders people, deals drugs and makes them.
Basically, Walter White as Heisenberg means that he’s #badass.
6. Oliver Queen as The Arrow from Arrow
But what makes the Arrow different from Oliver Queen is that the Arrow does sass everyone around him because he's too busy being serious and telling people how they have failed Starling City. Besides that, he doesn't talk too much.
One of the many problems superheroes tend to face is when they start to lose themselves in their night job. Oliver Queen has a life outside the hood, but what looks like the problem is that he doesn't know what would be left, rather who would be left, without it.
7. Barry Allen as The Streak from The Flash
The Flash is one of the sweetest superheroes out there. Even from way back when I used to watch cartoons, the Flash would be the comic relief, yet one of the nicest superheroes there are. Maybe because his power isn't really the aggressive type of power. With this TV series, you can still see niceness of the Flash as he uses his spare time to stop robbers and help other people. Simple yet meaningful stuff.
And that's what Barry Allen would do too. It's practically him in a red suit running around the city. He doesn't need to conceal his identity much because his guardian, Joe, is a police man and is the man he trusts the most. Plus, his excuses are easier to make if ever he's late for his day job because, well, he'll be there in a flash.

*Note* If you do not get the one liner, it’s to do with Taylor Swift wearing a ‘no it’s Becky’ shirt which is in reference to a post on Tumblr that is in relation to her.
