Here's Reinvent's list of badass women on TV (MAY INCLUDE SPOILERS):
Daenerys Targaryen - Game of thrones
Cersei Lannister - Game of Thrones
Cersei Lannister takes no shit from anyone. Sure, most of Westeros has been talking about her very intimate relations with her brother, but when they step into her court, they still tremble. Also, being able to keep with Joeffrey's attitude, actions, and everything else just shows that she can handle pretty much everything.
Arya Stark - Game of Thrones
The fact that she's still alive just adds to the list of reasons why Arya Stark is badass. She is able to defy gender stereotypes in Westeros by, well, wearing pants and learning how to sword fight. She is also extremely brave by continuing to play out as Lord Tywin's cup bearer instead of cowering in fear over whether or not he would recognize her. Later on, she becomes hardened, ruthless, and all the other things she needs to survive.
Annalise Keating - How to Get Away With Murder
Yvonne "vee" Parker - Orange is the new Black
What makes Vee so badass is the fact that she can smuggle tobacco and drugs in prison. In prison. This isn't her first time inprison and she practically has a strategy written down for her to be the boss in there. Granted, the water starts heating up and she has to escape prison before it eats her, but you have to admit, she did a pretty good job fucking with the place.
SoPhia Burset - ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK
Prison doesn't seem to bother Sophia much. She takes all the slurs they throw at her and she still manages to smile and be fierce. She's trying her best to make most out of prison, such as being the prison hair stylist and even creating duct tape slippers, which she calls couture. She still smiles despite knowing that her son won't accept her for a while. And yet, she still doesn't let that get through her.
Felicity Smoak - Arrow
Intelligent, funny, gorgeous, Felicity Smoak. Over her 26 years of living on this earth, she has accomplished so much in life, including keeping her sanity as she works with an arrow-notching vigilante. Graduated from MIT, created a super virus, promoted from IT girl at Queen Consolidated to Oliver Queen's executive assistant, to vice president of Palmer Technologies. In an action filled TV show, Felicity Smoak doesn't need brawn because she has plenty of brain.
Sara Lance - Arrow
Surviving a sinking boat is one thing. Training with the League of Assassins is another. Sara Lance is definitely one of Arrow's beloved characters (may she rest in peace). Together with the Arrow, Sara, dressed as Black Canary, takes down as many bad guys it takes to keep Starling City safe. But what's really badass is that, to keep her family safe from the League, she distanced herself away from them. Now that takes a lot of guts to do.
Korra - The LEgend of Korra
Korra has one of the best character development I have ever seen in a character. We have seen her rise, we have seen her fall, and we have seen her rise again. In the show's finale, we see her bending at its peak. Sure, giant spirit Korra was cool and angry Avatar state Korra was chilling too. But seeing her controlled and wise in her bending this time, I can definitely say she has come so far it makes me want to cry. She also proves that she needs no man, but actually another woman. She is one of the firsts in children's cartoons and hopefully a first to many.
Asami Sato - The Legend of kOrra
And who is to say that Korra's girlfriend isn't equally badass as she is? Asami Sato proves that a girl can be smart, skilled in martial arts, and have perfect make-up at the same time. Yes, Asami has been hurt several times, by her father, by Mako, and even by Korra herself. But that doesn't deter her from continuously improving herself and her company.
Clarke Griffin - the 100
Living in space then sent down to Earth with 99 other delinquents, Clarke became the group’s de facto leader despite all the other macho guys with them and takes no shit from anyone. Sure, Clarke seems like the stereotypical girl at first but later on, she toughened up and saw she don’t need no man to be the hardcore and amazing woman she is. She’s smart, she’s a leader, and she can kick butt if she wants.
Allison Arget - Teen Wolf
Allison started out as a love interest on Teen Wolf but eventually broke out of the box and became the beautiful bow and arrow wielding badass she is (spoiler alert). She comes from a long line of werewolf hunters where the women are considered leaders and that was what she became. She was more than the love interest she started out to be and grew up to be an awesome young woman despite all that she went through. She didn’t let those hardships get to her, in fact it was what shaped her to be the badass she is (still is in my heart -ana).
Regina Mills/Queen Regina - Once Upon a Time
Liz Lemon - 30 Rock
Liz Lemon is a mirror of the every day woman. She isn't a cold-hearted bitch, and yet she is still on top. She gives us women a ray of hope that you can be yourself while staying on top. How does she pull that off? She's unapologetic. That's one badass quality we all should take into account.
Leslie Knope - Parks and Recreations
Leslie Knope is so full energy and quirkiness, such so that she's lovable. But what puts her in the badass category is that she is a woman in a male-dominated world, yet she continues to rise among them. She has staggered a few times in reaching her goals, but she bounces right back up with the same positive attitude she had before she failed. Not only that, she's a feminist too. This article even states 12 times where she is one.
Olivia Pope - Scandal
From her mother's death to her affair with the President, Olivia Pope's life isn't a smooth ride. But, what has she done about that? She had to walk away from her job in the White House but she was also able to create her very own law firm. She was able become a cold, decisive, and strong woman through that bumpy ride of life, and that's what matters.
Jessica Pearson - Suits
Jessica Pearson takes no shit from anyone. Not even from the very handsome Harvey Specter. Why the coldness, you ask? Because she's a freaking badass bitch who made sacrifices to be on top. She needs to stay that way to stay where she, because knowing the world of law, once sign of weakness and it will eat you whole.
There are a ton of other badass women on TV, so comment below your favorites!
