1. THE CAST MEMBERS
This series first started out as a book in 2002 and they couldn't have gotten better cast members if they tried. Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley, Taylor Momsen, and Jessica Szohr depicted the roles very well that you can't help but be dragged into their messy lives. Having five issue filled seasons, the viewers were also able to see how these actors grew along with their roles.
Now who could forget all the fabulous clothes they wore? This show is mostly about image and they nailed every single one of their outfits. From Blair's massive headbands to Chuck's very dapper suits, all of them had their signature style and they stuck to it until the end of the series; and that's pretty impressive considering there were 5 seasons.
A prep school full of well-off teenagers? Check. Massive pent house apartments with barely-there parents? Double check. An almost limitless credit card? Check, check, check! Gossip Girl is probably one of the most interesting examples of what the young and privileged life is. It may be fictional, but it surely is too entertaining that sometimes, it doesn't matter that the plot can go a little bizarre. From weekly parties to intense school hierarchy competitions, this show has it all.
