That is why we’re am here! You should follow these easy steps on how to create the dystopian films you know and love. But mostly to please the audience, who most haven’t even picked up the book.
*** If you haven't noticed yet, everything below will be a piece of satire.
Now that you have picked the right book series for you, it is time to write the script. You hear that the book has deepness behind it as you discover mega plot drivers such as oppression, politics, social norms and many more. You look into it and you are in wonder of how it affects the reader.
But just focus on the love triangle that isn’t really a love triangle. It’s just a girl picking between two guys. The audience will love that.
Oh, the girl has tan skin in the book? But you have Ms. Lily-White-A-List actress over here who auditioned for the role. He's Hispanic? That's okay, they're the lightest POCs anyway. The audience won’t even notice. Plus, only half of them actually read the book.
We’re talking about dystopian future here. The film still technically falls under the sci-fi genre. By wowing the audience with fancy special effects, they can totally forget about the plot holes and sudden unnecessary romance scenes.
I’m sorry, I can’t hear you over the fact that I’m rolling in money.
People are into trilogies these days so you must come prepared for the next two movies.
