Hollywood is now crawling with so many new talents and faces that we just can't keep track! But most of the faces we see on the big screen are actually either from another part of the world or have strong roots from somewhere else. Here are some of the actors that you may not have known to have some African roots:

Parody films, to those that don't know, are comedy movies that basically imitate already made movies and just make them funnier. It's usually centered around one movie's storyline with other movie references that came out within the year. It makes the entire plot even funnier with the added jokes, puns, the making fun of the characters and other whatnots. Some can just be ridiculous because sometimes it would feel too forced but there are some that will end up making someone literally laughing out loud.
Meet The Spartans
A parody of the movie 300, it follows the story of 300 but with added twists such as having Ugly Betty as The Oracle, And with Ryan Seacrest and Britney Spears making an appearance. Not much of a plot but just a bunch of guys with abs walking around Sparta.
Scary Movie 1-5
As it's titled, these are spoofs of a bunch of scary movies. Horror films can scare the living shit outta someone and turning it into something funny just helps you forget that the lady with the long hair could be hiding in your TV and just think of her as someone who's sad and has a really bad hair day.
Spoofs of the Twilight movie series and I think making a spoof out of that film series can already say a lot about what this movie would turn out to be.
These movies are definitely worth watching especially if you're having a bad day! Turning scary or annoying movies into something outrageous and hilarious is probably one of the best ideas ever and this definitely gives a twist into the whole originality is dead idea. Make sure to check these movies out soon!

One of my all-time favorite Disney movies is Beauty and the Beast. Mostly because the song they dance to when they finally start showing their feelings towards each other lets me release my inner Céline Dion (hahahaha). I'm also in love with the library Belle was gifted. To those of you who don't know it yet, I love reading books. So the fact that Belle pretty much has an endless supply of books at her reach just makes my heart ache so much I'd actually be willing to live with The Beast solely for the use of that library (joke).
Another thing I love about Beauty and the Beast is the lesson they teach about not judging anyone by how they look. The prince got turned into Beast because of his horrible attitude and was told by some witch that he only has until the last petal falls of the rose for someone to tell him she loves him despite his beast-iness in order to turn back into a human being. And he did. Belle saw someone worth fighting for beneath all that. She learned to love him as he is and later on, *gasps* finds out he's a prince!
This just goes to show that you should never judge someone by what they look like cause you don't know what they're going through. So, props for Disney for making this wonderful movie and making kids realize that not everyone is an ugly duckling.
Carrie’s back and she’ll make sure you won’t forget her this time.
I guess it’s that time again where they deemed it fit to bring back some old movies back to life. In the past few years they’ve remade Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc. This time around though, they’ve decided to remake Carrie. The movie tells the story of a bullied teenage girl named Carrie who one day discovers that she has telekinetic powers. On their school’s prom night, she used her powers to act out her revenge on the people who bullied her.
Carrie is a remake of the 1976 supernatural horror film of the same name which was based on a Stephen King novel. Sissy Spacek’s portrayal of Carrie was great especially with her innocent looking face that suddenly turns into some revenge seeking telekinetic girl all because they ruined her prom. Gasp!! It was the same with Chloe Moretz’ portrayal, but there’s something about Spacek’s portrayal that just seems a little creepier.
I am and will never be a fan of horror movies (despite my birthday being on Halloween) but this version gives a fresh take on the story and a new generation will get to relive the story of Carrie. Plus, it doesn't hurt Ansel Elgort stars in it too.
