It started with our monthly photoshoots. Every month, we would hold a photoshoot with our friends as models using whatever clothes we could find to make the outfits. It was only amongst us at first but eventually we asked friends and acquaintances outside our little circle of friendship to model and help us. We never really figured out the purpose though. We would take photos, post it online, and build our portfolios... but it ended there.
During one random lunch period though, we talked about the possibility of using all of our strengths and making an online magazine. Our photoshoots would finally have a purpose and we would be able to fulfill more than one person's dream of writing outside their blogs. Reinvent was born.
It took more than a month for us finalize things due to college applications and school stress. Several ideas were thrown back and forth in the hopes of finding the best name for the magazine and what we should talk about on our first issue. It was a couple of weeks before the launch date though when we finally came up with the final details. It was definitely a tension filled few weeks... We all had deadlines to meet for school and universities and at the same time, articles were due for Reinvent. It was all really a test of dedication, time management, and conversation skills (cause we all had to convey what we were thinking properly or else all will surely go to hell). In the end, we survived.
Our main goal for Reinvent really is to make the best reading material for teenage girls everywhere where everyone can express their feelings and opinions and it would be acceptable. We all want Reinvent to be a place where we hope we can humor and at the same time open the minds of the modern young women - to show them that there is more to this world than what they already see. We also hope to keep them updated with everything around them through a different lens - through people their age.
It's just been a week since our launch day, and we promise to bring all our readers more to look forward to.
