In addition to textbook information, I also learn from the people I surround myself with every day. When I’m alone in public I don’t resent it. I observe them as they walk by and learn that people take the shortest way possible to their destination or that those who forget the magic words “thank you” and “please” get the coldest of shoulders. I learned that when people talk about something so close to their heart, their eyes light up and their sentences get reduced to a mishmash of words that probably don’t make sense to you but it does to them. I learned that when people are angry they say things they don’t mean nor fully understand. Most importantly, I learned that life is at its most raw when you let go of your inhibitions and have the best, most honest time with people you hold dear.
Learning is what makes life beautiful and worthwhile. The universe throws in all these information at us and all we have to do is take them all in. I’m obsessed with learning, and although I may not be the best person you can hear this from, always make it a point to learn something new every day. Even if everyone else thinks it’s weird that you know more about how uncooked spaghetti breaks compared to the average person and how it’s completely insignificant to your life right now, be proud because it means you know more about physics than them. Learning never stops because life never stops teaching.
