It all started 15 years ago with Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw. A girl with big dreams and big hair in the big apple. Along with her BFFS, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York, and Miranda Hobbes, the four of them took New York City by storm in the infamous Sex and the City series. But after 6 seasons and 2 movies of this drama-comedy series, do we really know who Carrie Bradshaw is?

Three years ago, Candice Bushnell surprised us all with the release of The Carrie Diaries. TCD is the prequel of Candice's New York Times Bestseller book, Sex and the City. It tells about the life of Carrie Bradshaw as a teenager and how the teens of the 80's lived.

It was love at first sight for me. Being a sucker for chick lits, I immediately bought a copy when it was released. I was in my freshman year of high school then and I was just blown away by the life of the young Carrie. She was living the life. It was the story of her junior & senior years in high school and I definitely enjoyed every page.

Two years later, they announce that there will be a TV series. I WENT BONKERS. I loved the book so much that when they announced that there will be a TV series I immediately started screaming (in school no less). When they released the cast though, it was a different story.

Anna and I are massive fans of Annasophia Robb and when they announced that she was gonna be the iconic Carrie Bradshaw: teenage version, we went ballistic too. The whole announcement just made us crazy!

On January 2013, they released the pilot episode. Let's just say that I was not as excited as I thought I was gonna be. It was still a wonderful series though. If you're gonna separate the book from the series, they're both great. Just make sure to separate it.

Season 1 was wonderful and now season 2 is on it's way. So if you haven't checked out this very entertaining show, you better start catching up before someone spoils it for you!!

BUT I SUGGEST TO TAKE NOTE OF THIS REMINDER: READ THE BOOKS FIRST.
