The D.U.F.F (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) has been one of the most empowering books for me to read. We’ve all been labeled. We’ve all been insecure of our hairy legs and fat hands. But I tell you this, so what? If Bianca Piper can land the hottest and richest boy in school, why couldn’t you do the same? Even if she’s short and a lot curvier than the "ideal American girl", she compensates - no, you don’t even have to wear make-up for not having to look like that. Her sarcastic and witty personality makes Wesley Rush (I’m sorry Kody Keplinger, but really you need to get better names) come back for more and want something much deeper than sex. You might say it’s unrealistic, like some fat girl’s fantasy about some boy. But I tell you this: it’s only unrealistic because no one will let the fat girl have a chance at the hottest boy in a three mile radius. They’ve told you that you’re not pretty enough to be attractive, but have you even tried to? Actually, do we need to? I don’t think so.
