Anna: To be realistic, have a countdown. Just remind yourself that "Oh, it's just [insert number] days left till this whole mess is over!" and it will seem a lot less longer than what it feels like. Always have communication between your friends and then there won't be that big of a problem. But yes, you cannot let these feelings get in the way of your studies because that comes first. If you have something big on a Monday and they want to hang out on a Saturday/Sunday, don't do it. You don't have to take every opportunity they give for all of you to hang out. If you're worried on if you're going to be as close as you were before, just remember it just relies on communication. They will probably be out of town or something while you're still in school so ask them what's going on through text. Or you could hang out with your friends on your own school. This could be the perfect opportunity to get to know them better.
Daniela: There are some things you cannot control. Even if you're done with all the schoolwork due for the week, of course you can't just join your friends to a trip up, I don't know, Batanes or somewhere and I guess it's just a little sacrifice on your part. Like you said, school is the number one priority now. School won't always be around. Eventually, you and your friends will go on trips everywhere for a longer period of time. Just be patient. You don't always have to be physically present. As long as you keep in touch with these friends, then it's all okay. Communication is key.
"I tell myself everyday that it will all be okay and that it will get better but everyday I feel like it's just getting worse and there's always that heavy feeling in my chest that I can't get rid of and everything just hurts :(( will life ever get better why do I feel like my life is just one bad thing after another?"
Anna: If this physically hurts, literally you have heart pain, you might want to see a doctor. If this figuratively hurts, then relax. Take a breather. Go lie on your bed, close your eyes, add some relaxation music (the ones that they use for yoga if you want). Or do yoga too that would be fine. Just chill. I believe that for anyone to be happy or for any good thing to happen they have to pass several problems on the way. So right now this could be those several problems. You just have to remember that you will get through this. This too shall pass and that pain will be gone. Go cry about it for five minutes or something but allow yourself only those five minutes for release. You have to be stronger than that afterwards.
Daniela: My mom always says, "Life will get better. Work hard now so you can relax later on." Sure, it may seem exhausting, but it will get better. Maybe not today, but it will, eventually. Do stuff that make you feel lighter. Remember to always take a break from your work. Your mental well-being is more important that stressing yourself out with finishing that report.
